John White

John serves as the Executive Chairman of the Board. During his 30 years of legal experience, John has been involved in a variety of industry sectors. He was elected managing partner of three different law firms in his legal career. After 25 years as a private practitioner, in Houston, he co-founded Standard Renewable Energy Group, LLC (SREG). John served as the Managing Director of The Wind Alliance, a public, private, University consortium. John was appointed by Governor Perry to serve on the Board of Regents of the Texas A&M University System; served from 2003 until 2009 and was reappointed in 2011. He was elected Chairman from 2005-2007 and served as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Regents from 2007-2009. John is a Board member of the Houston Technology Center, The Greater Houston Partnership, the Association for Community Broadcasting and Chairman of the Board of the Ed Rachal Foundation. John is a fifth generation Texas rancher and received a degree in Political Science from Texas A&M University and his law degree from the University Of Texas.
